I am a single mother of a ten year old. We have struggled this year with me having arthritis in my spine and hips and her father never having anything to do with her. It has been a very emotional year for both of us. I have no money for Christmas this year. Please help me with this. I dont think she can handle any more diappointments this year.

I am trying to get back to my family. They live a few thousand miles away and we havent seen each other in 7 yrs. My mom has had cancer several times and she is not well now. We are not sure of anything yet. I have some money, but we still need more to move our stuff and for plane tix. Anything you can do to help us is so deeply appreciated. Time is running out! I only have 4 days left to get my car out. Without transportation I will have no way to work & lose my job. We do not have buses here or i'd take the bus, a taxi would be over $80 round trip & I won't make that much.
I know it's a lot but anything would help out & it adds up especially if several people send something.. I have let family and friends borrow $ in the past, but of course they are in need as well and can't pay me anything.
I would be so appreciative of any donations & as soon as I am back to work I would be willing to return the favor or help someone else who was less fortunate. I would even sign something stating i'd pay you back, if you loaned me the $!

Yesterday I came home from getting my car fixed because my water pump went out it was more than I thought it would be. I picked my kids up from school when we made it home there was a notice on the door our water wad turned off. I am a army veteran and I was honorably discharged . I am not saying that I am an angel but I am trying my best to raise my kids the right way and give them a decent upbringing . If any one could help I would truly appreciate it . I am working and doing well I am planing on making it a carrer I just started and have not been payed .

I agree with you 2003 was a lot easier in some ways and the 90's were too. And it has gotten worse with the ecomony, people losing homes, jobs and the cost of things keep going up. It is affecting many people all over the world. But there is one thing you can't give up and still need to try to make it better for you and others by helping each other instead of waiting for the government to make it better. I would like to see the government be more active with funds and help for people. Time will tell.

Well as 2011 gets here I'm about to lose my home. I can't spilt up my family to stay w friends and I'm not even losing my home because of anything I did. Just the wrong time wrong place. I also have three animals that I've had for 8 years. Idk what I'm going to do for our family. Now me and my boyfriend have to find out if his two yr old son is really his cuz his ex wife cheated on him two weeks after they got married and then she got pregnant. We also need Money for a lawyer so we can get these kids from her asap. Her mom is a bad person and even tho we may be struggling ourselves but we were laid off and looke for jobs since and have no luck at all. We really need to get these boys in a better environment. She was caught doing drugs with the kids in the car! We need those kids away from her and until we get a new home we can't keep them for good, but once we get a place we can take them from her and keep them once and for all. We need help badly. My fiancé an I are trying so hard but with the resession and lack of jobs were struggling. This is the first time I've ever been in this situation wher I have to beg for help. It's pathetic and things have to change.

I know that a lot of people are finding themselves in some very tough situations, some are even worse off than us. I never thought I would do something like this, but I really feel that I have no other choice. I am a stay at home mom, part by choice and part by necessity. We only have one vehicle and we can't afford childcare so that I can get a full time job outside the home. Hours have been cut at my husband's job so much that we are having alot of difficulty paying all our bills and paying for groceries for our family. I am trying to do things at home and on the computer to try to make some extra money, but it isn't much. Hello, I am in a desperate situation of sorts. I have full custody of my children and my exhusband has them in another state over 2000 miles away. The courts have provided me with two certified copies of the custody order and even contacted the state police where the children reside. The police have agreed to escort me to the house and retrieve the children, but I need to suply my airfare out and my airfare back with the two children for a grand total of just over 1600.00 and this does not include the rental car cost as they want me to drive to the precinct first and then to the home (escorted) and then to airport. I have the crime victims unit trying to help me but they state they are having an awful time getting through the red tape. It has been a year since I have had them and a year fight to get to this point. They are 6 and 7 years old.
I am not asking for anyone to give me cash, just buy the plane tickets. After such a battle, I cannot afford to loose my children now. I have researched prices and because it is last minute and no overnight stay (per reccondmendation of police) they are $400.00 each and i need one (1) one way out and three (3) one way back of 1 adult and two children. If anyone has skymiles, a voucher or rapid rewards they would like to donate please let me know ASAP. I have been told to get the children moved this week before he moves again and to not let him know I am coming....can anyone please help reunite me with my babies!!
HI My name is Kelley. This is one of the most difficult things I have EVER had to do. Usually My family is the one that helps others, but now I am at a loss for this years Christmas(2009)and I am reaching out for my children. I am a mother of 6 with a 7th blessing due in March(2010). My husband and I were both in the housing industry 3 years ago, he built them, I sold them! We were doing fine, then our bubble burst. For months we both searched for work.....with no luck. After 8 months my husband was able to get a job for a local thirft store, making minimum wage. With our savings and his income we struggled to make our bills....at the end of last year we knew we had to do something. Pulling all of our resorces and borrowing from family and friends, we started our own business. Things got even worse financialy. We kept the faith, and kept going. Our 6 children were GREAT, we learned that we had done a good job thus far in teaching our children. They didn't ask or want for much(at least we never heard them say anything)! After almost a year our business is starting to do better. However, we are still struggling to repay our debt and make the bills. There is NO EXTRA money. I put up our Christmas tree with the kids about 2 weeks ago. I look at it every night lit, its so pretty they really did a good job. As I sit there thankful that God has pulled us through, I wonder how we will be able to put gifts under it! If there is anyone who would be able to help our family this year.....I would be forever grateful! Thank you!!
